As host of the 2017 IKYF American Kyudo Seminar, I am honored to announce on this website the details about the upcoming Kyudo Seminar and Shinsa, to be held on the lovely campus of Sonoma State University (SSU) in Rohnert Park, California.
I worry quite a lot about the rising costs of attending Kyudo seminars. Many must travel long distances to attend, and every year the organizers face the same challenges of finding a facility with a large enough gymnasium to allow for three 5-person shajo and sufficient accommodations and meal service for the participants.
We are most fortunate to be able to keep participant costs the same as last year. The $650 participant fee includes the IKYF tuition fee, access to SSU facilities, 4 nights lodging (in 100% single rooms), meals starting from dinner the night before the seminar (Tues July 18) through lunch on the Shinsa day (Saturday July 22), and a banquet dinner for all participants.
Please read on to find information here about the schedule, how to register, travel logistics, and Sonoma State campus information.
I am looking forward to seeing you at the seminar.
